RACES
Wadhurst Runners competes in a number of races during the year and each weekend will probably see the Wadhurst vest being worn with pride somewhere!
PARKRUN
Our local parkrun is at Bedgebury Pinetum. Wadhurst Runners has the largest number of runners of all clubs represented at the parkrun.
For many joining the club is a next step after gaining confidence by completing this challenging parkrun.
SUSSEX GRAND PRIX
The club is represented in the Sussex Grand Prix Series of road races, which cover distances from 5 kilometres, up to 20 miles. Any club members, registered as All England Athletics members can compete for the individual and team prizes.
We’re incredibly proud to have won the team league on several occasions, including the 2012, 2013, 2016 and 2018 seasons.
CROSS COUNTRY
The club also participates in the East Sussex Sunday Cross Country League which consists of six cross country events per year. The course distances are about five miles and the season runs from October to March.
Races are approximately once a month, usually with three events before Christmas and three events after. Courses vary from open downland to very muddy woodland courses (proper cross country). All abilities are welcome.
